Highlights of Kos Town by Bike

Once you will visit Kos town you will realize that the bicycle is the town's landmark. Pick up your bike at the port and start your ride around Kos town and its interesting sites. Your first stop will be the famous Plane tree of Hippocrates, with a diameter of some 10 meters, fabled to have been planted some 2,400 years ago. According to legend this is where Hippocrates taught his students. Then passing by the Kos Marina you will make a short stop at the Ancient Agora. Next stop will be the Ancient Theatre or "Odeon" built in the 2nd century BC and remains in a quite good condition. Opposite side of "Odeon", you will see the western excavation where you will have information about "Nymphaeum" and "Xysto" from Hellenistic and Roman years. Before your cycling back to the port you will have time to relax at a traditional Greek café and enjoy a local refreshment or Greek coffee. What a great way to get some exercise will exploring this interesting Greek destination.
