Depart from the picturesque harbor of Sassnitz and embark on a guided journey to Jasmund National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site celebrated for its majestic chalk cliffs, ancient beech forests, and stunning views of the Baltic Sea.
Travel comfortably by coach through the scenic landscapes of Rügen’s northeast coast, arriving at the park’s most iconic site: the Königsstuhl (King’s Chair). Rising up to 161 meters above sea level, this dramatic white cliff is Germany’s largest and one of its most photographed natural wonders.
A highlight of your visit is the newly inaugurated viewing platform, opened in April 2023. This innovative, environmentally sensitive structure offers unparalleled panoramic views over the chalk cliffs and sea, all while preserving the delicate ecosystem below.
Take time to explore the visitor center before joining your guide for a walk through the ancient beech forests, which date back to the 13th century. These woodlands grow on high plateaus formed during the last Ice Age and are interspersed with moors and ancient burial grounds. Enjoy the well-maintained trails, the crisp coastal air, and perhaps even spot local wildlife along the way.
After your hike, you'll pause at one of Rügen’s popular cafés or restaurants for a relaxing refreshment stop, including coffee or tea and a slice of traditional German cake.
