Swimming at Syndicate Falls
Swimming at Syndicate Falls
A short hike in the lush forest brings you to the 100’ tall Syndicate Falls where you have time to swim in the pool and feel the power of the water pouring over your head and shoulders.
From Cabrits, it’s a 45-minute drive to the falls entrance and a leisurely walk to arrive at Syndicate Falls. Syndicate Falls, sometimes referred to as Milton Falls, is a secluded waterfall in the vicinity of the Syndicate Estate, in the northwestern part of the Caribbean Island nation of Dominica. Considered to be exceptionally beautiful, with a relatively easy access, it is certainly one of the biggest landmarks the island has.
The trail to the falls requires approximately 15 minutes of walking with minimal elevation gain sometimes along slippery rocks. You will be crossing several rivers, which is why it is mandatory to wear comfortable (or waterproof) shoes. The Syndicate Falls is surrounded by lush forest, and because of its height, you will marvel at the water plunging down the rock into the welcoming pool.
Plenty of time is offered here to take a refreshing dip and discover this amazing natural wonder of Dominica. Afterwards, you will stop at the Syndicate Falls Café for a taste of Dominica. Enjoy some light local snacks and seasonal fresh fruits. Also, visit the herbal garden at the Café and learn about the different herbs grown in Dominica and their usage - including some medicinal herbs, afterwards returning to the yacht.
Notes: Flow of water at the waterfalls is dependent upon weather conditions and recent rains. Be sure to wear your swimsuit under a coverup and bring a towel from the yacht. Good walking / water shoes are required. A minimum participation is required to operate all Yachting Land Adventures, and some may have limited capacity.
