Panoramic Visit of Skyros Town

Enjoy a panoramic view of the island from the Byzantine monastery of Agios Georgios and ancient castle as well as a stop at the 16th century church of Agia Triada.

On the way down from the monastery and the ancient castle, make a short stop at the Arhontopanagia church for a glass of ouzo or juice together with the local sweet Skyrian “loukoumades” pastries.

Then continue for a visit to the island's most interesting museums: 1) the historical museum Faltaits which bears the name of the Skyrian Philosopher Manos Faltaits and 2) the archaeological museum with exhibits extending from the neolithic period to the Roman times.

Because the traditional houses of Skyros are unique, take in a visit to one of the island's private residences to admire the traditional folk art, carved wooden furniture, ceramics, embroideries and wall hangings.

Upon returning to Chora, enjoy some free time for shopping or enjoy a cup of coffee before returning to the port.
