Travel industry veteran Roger Oakley has been named United Kingdom Director Business Development for Meetings, Incentives, Charters and Corporate Groups for SeaDream Yacht Club, operator of the twin, ultra-luxury, mega yachts, SeaDream I and II.

Oakley will work in tandem with Ian Buckeridge, UK Director Business Development whose sales responsibility is individual bookings and private groups. The efforts of both Oakley and the earlier-appointed Buckeridge will be coordinated by Diane Friberg, Vice President European Sales and Marketing for the company who is headquartered in Oslo, Norway.

Oakley has more than 20 years experience in the international travel field; much of it in the UK MICE market (Meetings, Incentives, Conventions and Events). For the past 14 years he has been active in London in conference and incentive marketing and sales for various hotel groups including Princess, Accor and Capsis. Most recently he was Group Business Development Manager for the full-service agency, The Motivaction Group. Earlier, he held management posts with several hotels in Bermuda and the Caribbean.
