Salt Island, BVI, B. V. I.
This small British Virgin Island sits under 5 miles south of Tortola. The island has a ceremonial history of harvesting salt from its ponds (given the island’s name) dating back to the late 1800’s when the salts were actually sent to the Queen of England for her birthday. Residents no longer inhabit the island, but it is visited by the occasional yacht. The wreckage of the RMS Rhone (1867) is a popular Caribbean diving site today.

Fabulous yacht, magnificent food, great people, superb service, I can think of a few more adjectives, but to summarize – save and go on it – probably the best vacation I ever went on. Ian C.California
