About: Originally from a small town in the Philippines, Kristine first joined SeaDream Yacht Club in 2022. She enjoys traveling, meeting new people, and learning from their stories. During breaks, you’ll often find her in the heart of the destination, taking pictures and videos, trying different cuisines, and immersing herself in the local culture. Q: Where is your favorite place to travel in the Caribbean—and why?
A: I’ve been to various islands throughout the Caribbean, but St. Barths hits different every time. I am always in awe of its stunning white-sand beaches and how it offers both tranquility and luxury in a tropical setting. The island’s beachside cafés are also a must-visit. It’s a perfect place to indulge in laid-back luxury that seamlessly blends French culture.
Q: Where is your favorite place to travel in the Mediterranean—and why?
A: Portofino, Italy always comes to mind first. Its liveliness and vibrancy just speak life. The Italian town’s buildings and homes situated against the coastline offer a magnificent view. From the outset, through its architecture, one can tell right away that Portofino boasts a rich history. Wandering around does not just provide relaxation, it offers rich cultural immersion.
Q: What does “It’s Yachting, Not Cruising®” mean to you?
A: The phrase represents the sense of intimacy and truly dedicated, yet unique, service that we provide with yachting. Given the smaller scope of our vessels, as crew members, we can definitely offer a hands-on service to our guests where we do not just cater to their needs and wants but also listen to them. Because we get to know our guests, we are able to present the best personalized service on the seas—which is very different from the mainstream concept of cruising.
Q: What is it that you love most about SeaDream?
A: My fellow crew. Working miles away from home can sometimes be challenging. But because I am surrounded with such great people with whom I share the same values and passion when it comes to service, I have built a family on board. Actually, they brought home to me. My country, the Philippines, is known for its hospitable people, and I have felt exactly that here with SeaDream. Because of this, I am dedicated to also manifesting this experience with our guests—helping them feel the same comfort of their very own homes through their SeaDream experience.
