    Description

    Indulge your senses with the fabulous flavors of Valencia. Paella and wine are two main components in Spanish cuisine. This is your opportunity to learn how to combine the two by having an expert of this rice region and a local guide explain their details and importance. Depart the pier for a scenic drive to a traditional Valencian home over 100 years old; that has been transformed into a historic restaurant. The chef and your local guide of the restaurant will greet you upon arrival. Here, the paella is still cooked traditionally on a wood fire using orange wood. During the demonstration, learn about the type of rice grown for paella and important tips for preparing this popular Spanish dish. You will enjoy three different types of paella that you helped to prepare. The sommelier will also conduct a wine tasting of the excellent white and red wines to accompany these paellas.     Description

    Discover Valencia firsthand on this informative cycling adventure of the city’s historic and modern areas. Pier side you will meet your guide and prepare for the ride. The bike, safety equipment and instructions are reviewed before heading out. Pedal past the beautiful and modern City of Arts & Science. This architectural, cultural & entertainment development of the city was presented to the community on October 9th, 2005. The buildings compromising it are: L´Hemisferic, Principe Felipe Science Museum, L´Umbracle, L´Oceanografic and the Reina Sofia Palau of Arts. Then ride along the Turia Gardens (located in the historic riverbed of the same name) to the Serranos Bridge and Towers at the entrance for the old wall of Valencia City. This is a great reference point in Valencia and one of the best-preserved monuments of the city. You will then continue cycling in the city towards the Central Market where you will stop to taste the horchata, a drink originating from Valencia in the 13th century, it is made with ground and sweetened tiger nuts with a milk like consistency. The horchata will be accompanied by a traditional Farton, a long sweet bread brushed with a glaze. After the market, this guided bike adventure returns to the pier where you rejoin the yacht.

    Description

    Enjoy a leisurely walk along the city’s seafront with your guide as you head towards the historical Old Town. Here you will view some of Cartagena’s most famous sights, including the Palace Hall, Maritime Wall and impressive modernist buildings. Along the way you will stop several local Tapas bars. At each venue, the chef will prepare traditional tapas of the day, which may include albondigas, Spanish omelette, local cheeses or jamón serrano for you to sample, accompanied by a glass of sangria, wine or a soft drink.     Marvel at the beauty, grace and splendor of Spanish horses at an amazing ranch and breeding farm located close to the SeaDream yachts pier in Cartagena. Travel by coach only a few miles to a gorgeous ranch where you have an opportunity to see the magnificent steeds in person. These pure Spanish-bred horses have outstanding bloodlines and a truly graceful appearance. They are carefully bred on this ranch and sent to horse lovers all over the world. There are various activities going on at this farm and you will have an opportunity to see the brood mares and their foals. There is an impressive stampede show and you will learn about the art of managing stallions.     Meet the resident Barbary Apes and discover the famous tunnels of Gibraltar, all while learning of its strategic importance and intriguing history on this guided Yachting Land Adventure. The impenetrable fortifications which surround the Rock of Gibraltar are testament to a turbulent past of sieges and military conquest. Join this land adventure and follow the historical trails that will unfold Gibraltar’s biggest mysteries and secrets. A short bus ride will take you to the Pillars of Hercules, separating Spain and Gibraltar from north Africa, where you will enjoy magnificent views over 2 continents and 3 countries. Reboard the coach, for the next stop to meet the oldest inhabitants of Gibraltar, the Barbary apes (macaque apes) and see where they live. Continue to Princess Caroline's Battery and the entrance to the Great Siege Tunnels. This system of tunnels was manually dug out by a detachment of British military artificers with sledgehammers, crowbars and gunpowder during the events of The Great Siege of 1779-1783. Next up, you will get to see how the influence of the Great Siege influenced the WWII fortifications with a visit to the WWII Tunnels. Afterwards you will return to your waiting SeaDream yacht.

    Enjoy a panoramic drive through Cádiz en route to the beautiful village of Vejer de la Frontera. This quaint, whitewashed village is perched above the Barbate River and is a National Monument. Vejer is considered by many to be one of the most beautiful villages in Andalusia and also in all of Spain.     Experience a walk through the narrow street of the Tangier Medina, which starts this Yachting Land Adventure of the "Old town" and includes a hands-on Moroccan Cooking Class. Discover the Market at one stop and learn some Arabic phrases from your guide. Continue walking through the souks to visit a Ferrane (a communal oven where residents take loaves of a dense pita-shaped bread for baking). Move on to visit a spice shop and get familiarized with the smells and aromas of the exotic spices. A Moroccan Cooking Class will be presented at a cooking school offering a hands-on culinary experience.     Description

    Discover one of Spain’s oldest cities, located in the Andalusian mountains and 750 meters above sea level, Ronda stills displays aspects of its ancient Roman origins. This historical town has been a much loved destination for many painters, architects and creative artists; including Orson Welles and Ernest Hemingway. The best way to explore Ronda is on foot and throughout your guided walking tour you will pass several of the city’s highlights; including the ‘Puente Nuevo’ (New Bridge), which alongside the bull ring is said to symbolize the soul of the city. Having visited the city center, you will discover one unique wine cellar in the area. “Descalzos Viejos” (the aged barefoot monks), was founded in the year 2000 and specially restored for the purpose of wine-making by the architects Francisco Retamero and Flavio Salesi and their respective wives, Chelo Porras and Mariela Grana. It is situated in the chapel of a sixteenth century Trinitarian monastery. In this building, perched on the higher slopes of the impressive Tajo of Ronda (the famous Gorge), they make wine from the 5.5 hectares of vineyards that have been planted on this property, and other 5 hectares in ward. During the visit, you will taste three types of wines, accompanied with some snacks.
